English: Kuala Lumpur, on 8th of March 2022- At the meeting held between H.E. Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste Dr. Adaljiza Magno, and H.E. Ambassador of Ukraine to Timor-Leste, Mr. Olexander Nechytaylio, residing in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, at the outset, the Ambassador briefed the Minister about the current situation in Ukraine and thanked the support of Timor-Leste to Ukraine, declared in international forums. In response, H.E. the Minister shared the experience of Timor-Leste and reaffirmed the commitment to the principles of Human Rights, the principle of self-determination and respect to the sovereignty of states, and further expressed Timor-Leste's support and solidarity to Ukraine. Lastly, H.E. Minister Magno presented to the Ambassador Nechytaylio the candidacy of Timor-Leste to the Human Rights Council for the period of 2024-2026. In the meeting, Minister Magno was accompanied by the Ambassador of Timor-Leste to Malaysia, Ms. Joana Veneranda Amaral.

This file is in the public domain in East Timor, because it is published and distributed by the Government of Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, according to Article 13 of the Indonesia Copyright Law No 6, 1982, which was still valid in East Timor from independence on 20 May 2002 until 27 May 2023.[1]
